We Train Dental Teams to Ease Anxiety
Turning Patients' Anxious Moments into Opportunities For Connection and Care.
Service Description
At Most Connections, we believe that every patient interaction—whether at the front desk or in the dental chair—has the potential to heal, reassure, and build lasting trust. Dental anxiety is not just about fear of pain; it’s often about vulnerability, uncertainty, and the need to feel safe in the hands of another person. Our work helps dental teams transform these moments of unease into opportunities for connection, understanding, and calm. Using the Imago Method, a relationship-based approach grounded in neuroscience and empathy, we train dental teams to create safety through communication, attunement, and genuine human presence. This approach helps staff understand what happens in the brain and body when patients feel anxious—how fear activates the sympathetic nervous system, increases heart rate and tension, and affects their ability to trust and engage with care. By learning how to respond rather than react, teams can create a sense of calm that reassures patients and supports better outcomes. Research shows that emotional safety is central to patient satisfaction. In a study of over 10,000 dental patients, 98% valued emotional care and personal connection more than technical skill (Klaassen, Dukes, & Marchini, 2021). Another study found that patients fear the unknown and loss of control more than pain itself (Calladine, Currie, & Penlington, 2022). Together, these findings confirm what dental teams see every day—patients want to feel informed, cared for, and respected throughout their visit. Our Neurobiological Staff Relationship Training equips front desk and clinical staff with the tools to meet those needs. We teach communication techniques that calm the nervous system—both for patients and staff—while fostering empathy, transparency, and emotional attunement. Front desk teams learn how to manage anxious calls or first-time visits with warmth and reassurance, setting the tone for a positive experience from the moment a patient walks in. Clinicians learn to balance professionalism with human connection, using language, body posture, and presence to reinforce safety and trust. Our approach is grounded in the belief that relationships heal. By helping teams regulate their own responses and communicate with empathy, we create a ripple effect that transforms the entire office culture. Staff experience less stress, patients feel more comfortable, and the practice becomes financially successful, a positive interaction at a time. Talk to us!
